Versuvio's Volcanics

Versuvio.... Fabulous wings...crispy like Moriaty's ...hot like Fados... and free on Monday's. What more could you want from a wing vendor?

The only critisism is that the sauce was a bit watery and there were very little celery sticks. Much needed in a mouth burn wings moment!

The waiter we had was also a bit dumb and brought both of my courses at once meaning the wings were hot and cold at the same time... shame.

I disagree with WingCommanderDom's comment about beer being a complete side note. Wings are only wings with a good beer to wash them down!

O'Neals 3rd and South

I went out the intention being to have a few quiet ones. Turned into a bit more than that in a lot of ways more than just the wings but we all got hungry i the middle of the evening. In the end i bought 30 wings. Not for me but I guess that is still to go on my personal kill count below. I think these wings were very nice but to be honest I was far more concerned with another variety of bird that was there. They were great wings, but I didn't pay much attention. I would definitely go there and recommend the wings.

Good beer selection there too (on a complete side note).

Dull and Boring

One word mediocre.....

The venue Dave and Busters: A cross between Brighton pier and UK's shitest suburban chain bar.

The wings: A findus crispy pancake coated in hot sauce... I might be a bit harsh perhaps I should just leave it with the word average.

Dave and Busters

We went here the other day. It was a bit like being in an arcade on the pier @ Brighton (That's in the UK) without the pink pound being present and with a number of bars and dinner tables. The whole place did not feel finished, more like a rather unfinished poor attempt at TGI Fridays (which isn't that great anyway). I thought this place had a lot of potential but it wasn't very good and neither were the wings. The wings themselves were not particularly inedible, disgusting or tasteless but they weren't fantastic either and tasted like they were fresh out of the packet. I'd probably have them if I were there, but I probably won't be there very often which is a relief. Maybe I'm being harsh but I thought the whole place was a bit WANK

Irish Wings

Now I'm a big fan of Fado's. Namely this is because they normally have rather fit barmaids (though some seem to have left now), one of the other barman is a Spurs fan and I think it's a better place to watch the footy (yes that's soccer to you lot) than the Dark Horse which has become my new local since i moved down to my bling bling appartment (yeah thanks work). Would the wings live up to the hype ? Well we went there and for once were seated right at the back where I have never sat before. I've had wings there before prior to the reviews starting and I thought they'd get about a 3/5 rating. However they were abit nicer than this being rather meaty and quite hot which is always a good thing. As such, they were good. Unfortunately, I was rather ill the next day as was one of my fellow reviewers, but both the veggie and the hippie were fine so I feel it's not fair to blame it completely on the Fado wings. But as I was ill, I will stick with the rating I thought they'd get just because well, just because.

We are going to try Dave & Busters next - probably tonight. Chamone check your bad self we're some bad ass chicken wing eating motherfuckas

Burn baby burn

Dark and brooding, this Irish pub is just begging for you to look sultry and lurk in corners. We found our corner and totally failed to lurk or look sultry in any way. So to the wings....
Delivered and consumed with much gusto...hot...messy and meaty.

Fully recommended

Moriarty chicken and the mystery of the disappearing waiter

A visit to Philly wouldn't be complete without a trip to the liberty bell, a philly cheese steak and a chance to sample moriaty's wings. Crisp, big and just the right temperature!

Double the size of your commonal garden wing offering and a portion size of large... errrr.... proportions! That's 4 times the value....tasty and a bargain.

The down side is that the waiter was a stoner student from Dumbsville Utah. When requesting toothpicks after a hearty meal you don't expect to get asked how many you would like (idiot boy).

Check it out but don't be suprised if you have to wait a while for a seat....

Moriaty's Wing Bad Boys

Last night we had our first formal outing to review chicken wings. Moriatys in philly is undoubtedly the best place to go. So good that even our tag-along-veggie-girl colleague ate one. The only problem was that our waiter was retarded, so getting more beer and more wings in a timely matter was difficult.

Moriatys Wings are hot, but not too burn your mouth off like some of the wings you can get (from Hooters with Three Mile Island sauce for example). The accompanying blue cheese is good but the carrots are bad. They are reasonably priced (even though it's all on expenses! :) ), considering how much you get I think they are good value. This is because you appear to get twice as much Wings(tm) here as they don't break the wings up first.

Many chickens died to bring us this review.
